Issue with Copilot Pro Subscription and Missing Premium Models #189814
-
Select Topic AreaQuestion Copilot Feature AreaVS Code BodyHello, I’m currently using Copilot in both VS Code and Visual Studio, and I’m experiencing ongoing issues with my subscription and model access. Previously, I was using the Student plan. When support for the Student plan ended, I was in the middle of important work, so I upgraded and paid for the Pro plan to continue using the service. However, after upgrading, my request limits were not refreshed. Instead, they continued from where my Student usage had left off. I created a support ticket about this and continued working. Recently, the Sonnet and Opus models disappeared again and I started seeing a message saying “Contact admin.” When I click on it, it just opens an unhelpful GitHub page with no clear instructions. When I check my billing page, it shows that I have a free one-time 30-day trial subscription:
But despite this, the premium models are still unavailable. My support tickets are also being answered very slowly—I haven’t received replies even after three days. I’m quite confused about what is happening. My paid trial period seems to have been wasted, and now even though I still have about 20% of my premium requests remaining, I cannot access the premium models. Could you please clarify: Why my premium models (Sonnet and Opus) are no longer available Why my request limits were not reset after upgrading Whether there is an issue with my subscription status Thank you for your help. I would appreciate a prompt response, as this is affecting my ongoing development work. Best regards, |

This is not only with VS Code. I got the same behaviour in VS Code and Android Studio. I tried both fresh install and latest GH Copilot Plugin. Models like GPT5.3+ and Claude 4.6 were available 2 days ago. They just disappeared. |
