Introduce a Separate “GitHub Workspace” App for Mobile Coding (Codespaces Lite) like Replit #190209
-
Select Topic AreaProduct Feedback Feature AreaAndroid BodyHi GitHub team, I’d like to suggest a dedicated mobile experience for GitHub Codespaces in the form of a separate app (e.g., “GitHub Workspace”), rather than adding full coding features into GitHub Mobile. Suggestion
Behavior
This approach keeps GitHub Mobile lightweight while enabling a powerful mobile development experience through a dedicated app.

This is a solid idea. A separate mobile Codespaces app makes more sense than overloading GitHub Mobile, especially for editing, testing, and quick prototyping. Keeping commits manual and using temporary workspaces would make it much safer and more practical for students and developers |
