GitHub badges not showing or delayed – is this normal?

Hi,
I’ve noticed that badges sometimes don’t appear on my profile immediately after completing the required actions.
Is this delay normal? How long does it usually take for badges to be visible?
Also, are there any updates or improvements planned for this system?
