🏷️ Discussion TypeQuestion 💬 Feature/Topic AreaOther BodyA few days ago, I found my account suddenly got suspended. I've opened a support ticket (ID: #4240410), but just a bot replied me, saying they cannot reactivate it. After that, I asked for further assessment and detailed reason, but have no further response. |

Hey @xkw2 , I completely understand how stressful this is, especially when your job depends on it. The bot reply on your ticket is unfortunately common for account suspension cases — here's how to push past it and get a real human to review it: Step 1 — Reply to the ticket and explicitly request human review: Go back to your ticket #4240410 and reply with something like: "I understand the automated response, but I am requesting a manual human review of my account suspension. I have contributed to open-source projects consistently and have not violated any Terms of Service. This account is critical to my livelihood." Step 2 — Open a second fresh ticket: Step 3 — Escalate via Twitter/X publicly: Step 4 — Email appeals@github.com directly: Step 5 — Check if any connected apps triggered the suspension: Sometimes third-party apps or OAuth integrations connected to your account trigger automated flags. Think back — did you recently connect any new tool, run any script, or use any automation? Mentioning in your appeal that you've reviewed this shows good faith. Don't create a new account in the meantime — that can complicate the appeal. Hang tight and push through the channels above. Hope this gets resolved quickly for you! If this helped, feel free to mark it as the accepted answer! 😊 |

Hi @xkw2, This community is managed by GitHub employees, but it is not a support forum. You have done everything necessary on your end by opening a ticket on our Support page. For account related issues, GitHub Support requires that you contact them from the email address verified on that account. If you haven't already, please submit a request using this form: https://support.github.com/contact/cannot_sign_in When completing this step, you won't be required to sign in, but you will need to verify your email address. If you're currently signed into a different account, please sign out first before following the link. This is a public forum, and the community is unable to assist with nor escalate your ticket, but we can assure you it is in the right place. It will be answered in the order it was received based on our team's resources and the amount of tickets ahead of yours. As no other Community Discussions team members will be able to provide additional help with account related questions I am going to close this discussion. We appreciate your understanding and patience while Support works through your request! |

The word "manual review" triggers escalation in most support systems.
