Mobile Profile Button trying to access my old username profile

Issue:

I had 2 previous usernames before this one.
Currently, when I try to access my GitHub profile using the right-top profile button it tries to access my old username profile page, which throws User or organization "..." not found.

Workaround:

My work-around is to search my current username in the search, which displays correctly.

System Informations:

Device: iPhone 15 Pro
OS: iOS 26.5 (Beta)
GitHub Mobile App Version: v.1.252.0 (189964158)

Maybe you can try to logout and clear the web cache first if you are using the web. And if you are using the app, try:

1. Sign Out & Force Quit: Go to Settings > Sign Out. Force close the app, then log back in.
2. Clear App Cache: If the above fails, you may need to offload the app. Go to iOS Settings > General > iPhone Storage > GitHub > Offload App.
3. Check "Accounts" in Settings: Inside the GitHub app, tap your profile icon (or the gear icon) and ensure no stale "Enterprise" or "Legacy" accounts are lingering in the account switcher.

Possible Fixes

1. Sign Out & Restart App

• Go to GitHub app → Settings
• Tap Sign Out
• Force close the app
• Reopen and sign back in

2. Clear App Cache (iOS)

• Go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage → GitHub
• Tap Offload App
• Reinstall and log in again

3. Check Account Configuration

• Open GitHub app → Profile → Settings
• Ensure no old or secondary accounts are still listed
• Remove any outdated account references

4. Verify Username Sync

• Try logging in via browser to confirm your current username works correctly
• Then re-login in the app
  This is likely due to cached session data still pointing to your previous username, especially after multiple username changes.
