Projects (beta) REST API

Any word on a REST API for the new projects (beta)? Or is it going to be GraphQL only like the discussions API (#43)?

@Katsute, I know that there is some pretty good query API for beta projects in the GraphQL API. I'm looking for mutation as well--I'd like to write a script to create a beta project, then populate it with a set of columns of predetermined type. Currently the only mutation you can perform is to add a new item to an existing project--very useful, but we need others to really make good use of this!

We are also desperate looking for the API enhancement to CREATE beta projects. Still any call to current API is just creating legacy projects.

Sadly PUT https://api.github.com/[USER]/[REPO]/projects/beta/update.[USER] returns 404, while GitHub itself uses the same url without a subdomain (https://github.com) to accomplish exactly what I need (add a project to a repository). It's unfortunate that this existing Projects (beta) REST API is only available to the Github's own Web UI. Is there really no way to link a ProjectV2 to a repository without simulating an entire browser session, login, and click event?

This seems like base level functionality. This makes hygiene of our project very tedious because it's easy to forgot to add an issue to a project...

Is there any info on the query param for /users/{user_id}/projectsV2/{project_number}/items ? Is that the issues view filter, the projects view filter, or some combination/subset of the two?

@zsloane you've been added! You can include any query you would use in a project view to filter by fields such as labels, assignees, and project custom fields you have defined such as Status

@rileybroughten I’ve been testing the provided APIs, and so far all the endpoints I tried are working as expected. From a utility perspective, though, how can I search for project items using field value IDs (based on their field IDs)? Are there also other supported search filters, such as by assignee, state, or similar options?
