[Codex] Add candidate Weekly AI-OS Review and Archive templates #130

Description

@sergstack

Goal

Add candidate Weekly AI-OS Review and Archive / Superseded templates as a lightweight productivity operating layer, without creating a new task-management system or autonomous workflow.

Context

AI-OS already has routing, Command Surface, Goal Mode, supervised loops, Prompt QA, and a candidate weekly_ai_os_review direction. This task should add lightweight review/archive discipline only.

Pre-check performed in chat: searched open issues for weekly_ai_os_review archive superseded productivity StreamDeck review Prompt QA; no direct duplicate was found. Codex should still inspect repo files and issue context before editing.

First step

Search existing repo files and open issues for:

  • weekly_ai_os_review
  • archive
  • superseded
  • productivity
  • StreamDeck review
  • Prompt QA

If overlapping work exists, report it and do not duplicate.

Scope

Add minimal candidate templates/checklists only, if repo conventions support the destination.

Candidate files, subject to repo convention check:

  • WEEKLY_AI_OS_REVIEW_TEMPLATE.md
  • ARCHIVE_SUPERSEDED_RULE.md

Candidate destination, subject to inspection:

  • ChatGPT/[AI OS]/Knowledge/
  • ChatGPT/[AI OS]/Templates/
  • or the existing equivalent repo convention.

Template requirements

Weekly AI-OS Review template must cover:

  • new inputs
  • open loops
  • evidence risks: weak / unsupported / mixed
  • repo / Codex: open PRs, stale issues, failing checks
  • Knowledge / Project sync: bundles changed, upload needed, smoke QA needed
  • Stream Deck / commands: buttons to improve or retire
  • Archive / Superseded candidates
  • top 1 improvement this week
  • one next action with owner, route, and acceptance criteria

Archive / Superseded rule must cover:

  • status
  • reason
  • replacement, if any
  • source / affected file
  • owner project
  • removal from active layer
  • traceability note
  • no deletion without reason / replacement / status

Constraints

  • Weekly Review must end with one next action.
  • Weekly Review must not become a status ledger or operating journal.
  • Archive/Superseded is a traceability rule, not a deletion rule.
  • Templates remain candidate / ready for human review.
  • No production promotion without pilot evidence and owner acceptance.
  • Stream Deck productivity commands require Prompt QA before promotion.

Forbidden

  • No new project folder.
  • No new task manager layer.
  • No autonomous weekly review.
  • No production automation.
  • No autonomous retrieval.
  • No vector DB.
  • No embeddings.
  • No semantic search.
  • No web UI.
  • No auto-archive without traceability.
  • No deletion without replacement/reason/status.
  • No private/client/vendor/employee/bank/personal data.
  • No secrets or credentials.
  • No raw dumps.
  • No runtime artifacts.
  • No PROJECT_INSTRUCTIONS.md edits unless required and justified.
  • No auto-merge.

Checks to run

python3 scripts/check_project_instructions_length.py
python3 scripts/check_repo_public_safety.py
python3 scripts/check_manifest_paths.py
python3 scripts/check_knowledge_bundles.py
python3 scripts/check_codex_goal_mode_defaults.py
git diff --check

Acceptance criteria

  • Existing issue/repo overlap checked.
  • Minimal reversible diff.
  • Candidate templates added only if no duplicate scope exists.
  • Weekly Review template requires one next action.
  • Archive/Superseded rule preserves traceability.
  • No production promotion implied.
  • No blocked promotion items introduced.
  • No public repo safety risk introduced.
  • Upload/manifest references updated only if repo conventions require it.
  • If Knowledge bundles/upload lists change, note that live ChatGPT Project sync must be checked separately.
  • Checks pass or blockers are documented.
  • Rollback note included.
  • No auto-merge.

Stop conditions

Stop and report blockers if:

  • existing open issue or repo artifact already covers the same scope;
  • no clear destination folder convention exists;
  • work requires core routing/project structure changes;
  • work requires autonomous review or production automation;
  • work requires blocked promotion items;
  • work requires private data, secrets, raw dumps, or runtime artifacts;
  • work requires deletion/archive without traceability.

Rollback

If the PR is rejected or checks fail without a safe fix, revert only added templates and any related manifest/upload references.

Expected PR summary

  • Added candidate Weekly AI-OS Review and Archive/Superseded templates.
  • Existing overlap checked.
  • No new task manager layer.
  • No production automation.
  • No autonomous review.
  • No candidate promotion.
  • Checks listed.
  • Residual risks and rollback documented.
