Safari Extension in Apple Vision Pro

Extension management not working properly on Apple Vision Pro with visionOS 1.0.2. Selecting extension icon leads to Userscripts interface that is only several pixels wide and does not allow updates of installed scripts, opening Userscripts extension page, etc. All is OK if scripts are updated using Safari on another Apple device (iOS or macOS), but can't control directly from Apple Vision Pro.

Sorry, we have never tested this extension in the Apple Vision Pro platform.

We also never intended to release the app there, but as you know, Apple makes them available automatically.

None of our current main developers own Apple Vision Pro devices and cannot actually test and debug.

So what I can do currently, I will try to download the Apple Vision Pro simulator and see if I can reproduce and easily fix the issue you are encountering.

But if it doesn't work, or if it's very difficult to debug, we may choose to simply abandon the platform at this stage and refuse to be automatically included in the platform in the next version.

Again, we hope you understand that it's difficult to guarantee a relevant experience when we don't have an actual device to develop and debug on.

Please don't withdraw it from AVP in the future since it works fine as long as you use another Apple device to update the script. I'd hate to lose the extension entirely.

I completely understand that Vision Pro just came out less than a week ago. Anything you can do is gravy; just wanted to let you know.

The extension is absolutely awesome!

If we do become unable to perform maintenance on the platform, we will have no choice in order to avoid more people having bad experience and reporting issues.

Please note that apps you already have installed will not be affected by this, you just won't be able to update.

@lindacuster For reference, could you provide some screen recordings or screenshots to show what it currently looks like and the issues?

For example, this is what I see in the simulator, is it consistent with what you're seeing?

Also, what is the "extension page" you are talking about?
What should be installed in AVP is iOS version (Designed for iPad), this version does not have an "extension page".
Although a settings page was introduced in the latest beta version.

Making the Safari window bigger so the whole top bar where you enter web addresses much longer does NOT fix the issue. If you have any other suggestions I should try, just let me know. Yes, the TestFlight version works perfectly on my Apple Vision Pro now, including being able to see the full width of the extension in Safari and being able to reach the extension page.
